Redevelopment Deal

A long-awaited deal between city officials and the owner of The Jacksonville Landing over redevelopment and expansion of the riverfront entertainment complex appears near completion. Under the agreement, the city will give Sleiman Enterprises 11.2 acres underneath and around the Landing; in exchange, Sleiman will waive a requirement that the city build an 800-space garage and provide maintenance and security for the complex.
